All appointments are time based. It works on a less than or over 20 minutes timer from the point the GP opens your file. If your issue only needs 15 minutes to sort out, but you booked the 30 minute long consult option, you won’t be charged the over 20 minute fee. Alternatively, if your issue requires longer than 20 minutes to address but you have only booked a review or standard consult session, you will still be charged at the 30 minute session fees.
Important Note:
Most Femme Med appointments can be booked online, but some appointment types are not available online and must be booked by phone. If you are unsure which appointment to book, please contact the clinic for guidance before scheduling.
How to make a Booking
If booking an appointment via this website, you will be redirected to the FCD Health online booking system. FCD Health is a general practice located at the same address and supports Femme Med with appointment management.
Important Booking Information
All appointments are time based. If your consultation takes less time than you booked, you may be charged a lower fee. If your consultation requires longer than that booked, you may be charged for a longer consultation fee.
All weekend appointments after midday attract a $10 after hours fee.
Initial Women’s Health Consultation (30 minutes) $180
For new patients or new concerns. This allows time to fully understand your history and develop a care plan.
Review Consultation
(15 minutes) $110
For follow-ups, repeat prescriptions, or ongoing issues previously discussed.
Cervical
Screening $110
For cervical screening (Pap smear), including both clinician-collected and self-collected options.
Antenatal
Visits $180
Care throughout pregnancy, including preconception and early pregnancy support. Shared care is available with Royal Darwin Hospital or your chosen obstetrician.
Six Week
Postnatal Review $180
Support during the fourth trimester, including your six-week postnatal check.
IUD
Consultations
All new IUD insertions and replacements require and initial discussion and planning consultation ($180).
Insertion fees $375
Implanon
Services
Insertion, removal or replacement of Implanon devices also require an initial consultation before the proceedure ($110)
Insertions and removals $150
Extended Consultation
(40+ minutes, $220)
For complex or multiple concerns. Please discuss with your GP prior to booking.
